Chiltern Academy Course Venues
Chiltern Academy runs courses at a number of venues. This webpage gives the addresses and post codes of each club in our programme. It also provides details of parking and lunch arrangements. All venues have toilets.
Ealing Croquet Club
The Pavilion, Lammas Park, Culmington Road, Ealing, London. W5 5JH Parking: By club via locked park gates, only by prior arrangement. If permitted, use hazard warning lights and max 5 mph, keeping sharp eye for pedestrians who have priority. On weekdays : There is an unrestricted free parking stretch on Elers Road between Culmington Road and Walpole Close, but only on the Park side of the road. There is also unrestricted free parking on Culmington Road between Elers Road and Beaconsfield Road, (but only on the west side of the road) and at the west end of Lammas Park Gardens. Nearest public car park (5 min walk): South Ealing Road Car Park, W5 4QT. Up to £2.34 per hour, dependent on emissions. More details here. On Saturdays: There is free on-street parking available in Zone JJ north of Elers Road. On Sundays: Parking is unrestricted everywhere. Lunch: DIY, small kitchen available. |
Eynsham Croquet Club
School Piece Field, Cassington Road, Eynsham, Witney, Oxfordshire. OX29 4DB Note Cassington Road only accessible from westerly direction. Parking: Free; available on sports field, immediately after turning off Cassington Road. NB. 200m walk across cricket outfield to get to clubhouse. Lunch: DIY, hot water available. |
High Wycombe Croquet Club
Hazlemere Recreation Ground, Amersham Road, Hazlemere, Buckinghamshire. HP15 7QW Parking: Free in recreation ground car park. Generally, plenty of space, but if there is a football tournament (some weekends), and all spaces are taken, free on-street parking is available on nearby Trinity Road. Lunch: DIY, small kitchen available. Note some Chiltern Academy courses (as indicated in the course’s Special Conditions on the Croquet England Fixtures Calendar) take the benefit of starting in the nearby two-storey Hazlemere Memorial Hall (also known as Ken Williams Sports Pavilion). This is painted green and is prominent on the other side of a dividing hedge – with convenient walk-way through from car park. |
Watford (Cassiobury) Croquet Club
